Transfer of ownership of motor vehicle – duty to remove plates

Upon the transfer of ownership of a motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer, or pole trailer, the transferor shall immediately remove the license plates from the motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer, or pole trailer.
